A Walk Along Yonge Street

by Pa Rock

We arrived in Toronto shortly after noon today.  The weather forecast had called for rain, but we were delighted to find sunshine and fairly warm weather.  I've have worn shorts and a tee-shirt (Phoenix sheik) all day and have been very comfortable.

Upon arriving at our hotel, the Metropolitan, and stowing our stuff, we took a walk through downtown where we had lunch at an Irish pub, and stopped by the headquarters for the Toronto International Film Festival at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  I have already met two very impressive individuals:  Ramaa Mosley, the director of The Brass Teapot, and a young artist by the name of Christopher Banfalvi who created some amazing metal sculptures that were on display at the Hyatt Regency.

Tonight we walked downtown to Yonge Street and ate dinner at Johnny Rocket's where Olive flirted shamelessly with our young waiter.  She is a hit wherever she goes!  Tim and Erin are going out to a Film Festival event later this evening and Pa Rock will be babysitting.  That should be an interesting experience!

Toronto is a beautiful city and a very happening place.
