Proud Grandpa
My middle grandson, Sebastian Phoenix Files, turned six today. I talked to him on the phone and wished him a happy birthday. He seemed to be enjoying his special day.
Sebastian lives in Salem, Oregon, now, but he was born in Phoenix, Arizona - hence the unique middle name. My daughter told me once that my oldest grandson, Boone, suggested using "Phoenix" for his middle name. Boone was eight-years-old when Sebastian was born.
Sebastian and his younger siblings, Judah and Willow, recently acquired a little dog from a shelter. The dog is a female named "Pixie." I am happy for them because I think that a pet or two can be a very positive experience for a family - and there is no better way to get a dog than through a shelter. Those dogs will love you forever.
Just as I will love my grandchildren forever!

Thanks Dad. He had a very special day and enjoyed talking to you, Uncle Nick & cousin Boone! After presents we went to the splash pad. They had a blast. He had a really nice day. Thanks for the blog post!
