Daughter of Darkness Descends on Wyoming

Liz Cheney, the eldest daughter of Darth Vader and Lynn Cheney, made it official today.  She is running for the United States Senate from Wyoming.  Her path to that august position would seem to have only one hurdle.  In order to get elected to the Senate and enshrine herself among our betters, Darth Lite will fist have to defeat a sitting Republican senator in a primary. 

Cheney announced today that she would make the Senate run.  Current Republican senator, Mike Enzi, also announced today that he would be seeking re-election to his fourth term in the Senate.

The fight, it would appear, is on.

Lizzie, who has served time as a Fox News contributor and is known for carrying Daddy’s political water, has made no secret of her desire to be elected to the Senate.  She moved her family to Wyoming several months ago and has been speaking out at Republican events since her arrival in the state.  

Parts of Wyoming can be rough and a mite inhospitable, but Cheney, ever the plutocrat, settled her brood in the posh and trendy community of Jackson Hole.

The poor Republican Party can’t seem to catch a break.  No sooner had Michele Bachmann announced she was departing Congress than Liz Cheney pops up, like some Machiavellian jack-in-the-box, trying to head-butt her way in.  The GOP's re-branding effort seems doomed to failure - epic failure.  

How dare Mike Enzi get in her way – Lizzie is a Cheney, after all.  Obviously Senator Enzi doesn’t know his place – or hers!
