Home in Time to Watch the Election Returns!

by Pa Rock
No Longer Impatient!

I exited KU Med Hospital in KC, KS, yesterday around noon and finally got on the road home this morning.   It is almost 280 miles from my house to Tim and Erin's. and I made it in little less that five hours - with the last 60 miles being in a downpour.   (I am not a fan of driving in a heavy rain, but we do what we must in order to  get home and play with the dogs!). Listened to podcasts most of the way home ("Pod Save America" (my favorite), and "Politics War Room" (which I listen to just so I can yell at James Carville) as my back-up choice.    Sometimes I also enjoy the "Harry Sisson Show" for quick laughs at Trump's expense.)

Once I was safely home it took more than two hours just to get the week's mail sorted and the dogs fed.   I still have not completely unpacked the car.  Now I am headed into town to do battle with the pharmacy.  It looks as though war with Blue Cross-Blue Shield  is on the horizon, but the pecking order requires me to fight the pharmacy first, and then go after the insurance companies.

For those of you below retirement age, Medicare is wonderful, in theory, but Congress and their lobbyist overlords have loaded it with so many landmines that getting the service to function can be a real struggle.  But never give up, because that's what the bastards want you to do!

I may have another posting or two tonight as the election unfolds.  If you haven't voted yet, GO EFFING DO IT!
