Patiently Waiting at the Intersection of Medical Care and Politics

by Pa Rock
Hospital Impatient

I walked into the KU Med Center Hopsital unassisted on Friday morning and have not felt the fresh breeze on my face since then, and, in fact, as of Friday evening I have not been outside of my assigned patient room.  But unless there is a sudden and drastic change in my burgeoning good health, I will leave the building sometime around noon today with bag and baggage, new pills, and a kick in the butt as I step out the front door.

Thank you, KU Med, for treating me so professionally and so courteously.   I will be recommending you highly to others.

I suspect I will wait until early tomorrow to make that long drive down into Missouri and home.  I don't want to get caught up in the Springfield evening rush hour.  Pa Rock is not a rusher!  The midterm elections officially come to an end tomorrow, so Alexa should have enough political coverage to keep me entertained for a 270-mile drive.

I am not a particular fan of Bill Clinton ever since he chose to degrade his presidency and shame his country by having sexual relations with a barely-legal intern in the White House, but I do still respect the old reprobate's political prognostication skills - and Bill says buckle up, buttercup, because a blue wave is coming!

I will go out on a limb and make one prediction myself:  I believe that when that treacherous rodent, Haley Stephens, tried to sabotage the Michigan senate race yesterday by endorsing the Republican/AIPAC candidate, Mike Rogers, she instead sealed the deal for Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.  I suspect El-Sayed had his best donations day ever - and I sense that people are really fired up about Stephens' last-minute, whiney betrayal of the positions she had claimed to believe in.  Pa Rock's prediction:  Dr. Abdul El-Sayed with a comfortable US Senate victory in Michigan.

(Note:   I can't wait to hear Trump's explosive oral diarrhea late tomorrow night as he rants ad nauseam about election fraud - and I am expecting at least a full ninety minutes of ad-libbed, unfiltered insanity!  Fun times!)
