Russia is Aiding Iran; Ukraine is Helping Us

One of the many bald-faced lies that Donald Trump told while he was running for President in 2024 was that he could end the Russia-Ukraine War within 24 hours of becoming President.  It turned out that his only plan was to knock the US supports out from under President Zelenskyy in Ukraine and force him to surrender to Russia on Russia's terms, something the heroic Zelenskyy and the Unranian people would not do.

Trump began his second term in office by showing absolute contempt for President Zelenskyy.   Who can forget the horrible show that Trump and Vice President Vance put on as they demeaned Zelensky at the White House in front of the press corps, the meeting where they criticized how he dressed and disparaged him for not saying "thank you" enough?  That was the day it became clear that Trump was envisioning a new world order with Russia and the United States as the super powers and Europe being consigned somewhere in the peanut gallery.

When Zelenskyy failed to capitulate to Trump's plan for Ukraine to surrender, Trump extended his 24-hour boast to 100 days.  That deadline has come and gone as well.  Now, in fact, more than fifteen months has passed since Donald Trump slithered back into office, and Ukraine still stands strong, alongside much of Europe, in its quest to remain free of Russian domination - and Trump's tilt toward Russia remains unmistakable.

But Trump has been active on several international fronts - Greenland, Venezuela, Iran, and potentially Cuba - and he should be developing some sense of which countries have traditionally been allies to the United States, and why - and Russia has clearly never made that list despite Trump's ovbvious man-crush on Putin.

This week, during our current military foray into Iran (along with Israel), a conflict that Trump says will only last a few weeks, it was revealed that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence on US military targets.  Russia is giving Iran information about the location and movements of American troops, ships, and aircraft.   That Russian assistance to Iran jeopardizes American safety and lives - and Trump's war plans.

Ukraine, on the other hand, the country that the Trump administration has spent more than a year trying to coax into surrendering to Russia, has come down on our side in the War on Iran.  It has offered to send drone specialists and interceptor technologies to counter the Iranian made Shahed Drones.

Russia is still our enemy - and Ukraine is our ally.   Wake up and smell the borscht, Donald!

Slava Ukraini!
