Epstein-Maxwell Sexual Abuse Victims to Speak at Press Conference Today

This morning two members of Congress, one a Democrat and the other a Republican, are holding a press conference on the steps of the US Capitol to which they have invited some victims of vile sexual abuse by Jeffery Epstein and his associate pimp, Ghislaine Maxwell.    The victims of rape which occured when they were children will join the two congressmen in making statements and answering questions.

The congressmen who are heading this very important effort to keep the heinous sexual crimes of Epstein and Maxwell in the news are Ro Khanna, a Democratic Representative from California and Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky.   Khanna and Masssie co-authored legislation in July that would force the Justice Department to release all of its case material on the Epstein imbroglio, but Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is blocking the measure from coming to a vote on the House floor.  Massie is now pursuing a discharge petition to get the proposed legislation before the entire House for a vote.

The two congressmen as well as the victims of child rape who will be speaking today are hopeful that this public event will put pressure on the House of Representatives to pursue truth and justice in the Epstein-Maxwell criminal matter, no matter which important and well-connected people are implicated.

There are still some among us who believe that the voices of victims (and especially child victims!) deserve to be heard - and that no one is above the law.

It's about securing justice for the victims - not protecting the rich and privileged.

Wouldn't it be nice if Republicans in Congress felt that way, too!
