RFK, Jr Sticks his Nose on the Crapper

In the panoply of horrors inflicted on the United States by the Triump administration, a new one was burnt into the American psyche this week when Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr,  told podcaster Theo Von and his listeners that he had no fear of germs and had, in fact, snorted cocaine off of toilet seats.

(If the US Treasury is looking for more iconic Trump administration images to portray on dollar coins for this summer's celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, they might consder Kennedy putting the moves on a commode.  I would invest in a few of those!)

Kennedy, who was a long-term (14-year) heroin addict in his youth, has been in "recovery" since the early 1980's.    A big part of that process  focuses on admitting post failures and being open about them, so kudos to Bobby for owning up to the mistakes of his troubled youth, and I certainly wish him nothing but continued success in his fight to stay clean and sober.

That said, it would still be good if he would step away from his government position and allow trained and qualified individuals to direct our nation's health programs and agencies.   The effects of a parasitic brainworm and years of hard drug abuse have taken their toll on a man who was essentially unqualified for the job anyway.

Measles are serious, and deadly.  Flu is serious, and deadly.  Covid is serious, and deadly.  And so are dozens of other diseases that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have been working for years to eradicate or at least keep under control.

Bobby, as an American you are free to make your own medical decisions and put what you want into your own body,  but your years of bad choices should not be allowed to inform how the rest of us live our lives and treat our own bodies.    Resign, go home, and eat whatever you damned well please - and don't saddle the rest of us with your crackpot ideas and Facebook gibberish.

You are not a qualified medical or science professional, so please quit acting like you are.  Resign!
